Workshop on Physics and Technology of Semiconductor Lasers 2017 took place in Qubus hotel in Krakow on October 15-18. It provided a comfortable and stimulating environment for discussing scientific and engineering challenges in our field.

Main topics of the Workshop were: blue and green nitride-based lasers, cascade lasers, VCSELs and properties of quantum structures. The workshop was organized jointly by the Institute of Physics of Lodz University of Technology, Institute of High Pressure Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences (Unipress), the Centre of Nanophotonics of Institute of Electron Technology and Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
