We are very pleased to invite you to this year's VCSEL Day, which will take place in Łódź on 19 September 2025. As always, we hope it will be an opportunity to present the latest findings, exchange ideas and experiences.
This year we are planning a one-day meeting to be held at the Institute of Physics at the Lodz University of Technology.
Additionally, we would like to let you know that the NUSOD conference will also be held in Łódź from 14 to 19 September. So those of you who are interested in numerical computing can combine participation in these two conferences.
The VCSEL Day is an annual meeting of scientists and researchers from across Europe and beyond working with vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). The conference is attended by representatives from leading research institutions and universities and companies involved in VCSELs implementations.
The conference will cover a range of topics from theoretical foundations to the most exciting applications of VCSELs. In particular, we will focus on:
• properties of VCSELs and their experimental characterisation and numerical computations
• new designs of VCSELs including blue and mid-infrared emitting lasers
• new technologies and approches in the fabrication of VCSELs
• use of VCSELs in various areas including communications and neuromorphic optical networks
This year's VCSEL Day is possible thanks to the financial support of the Institute of Physics and Airoptic.
Airoptic Sp. z o.o. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified high-tech company founded in Poznan, Poland in 2010. In the beginning the company provided consulting services and solutions for laser-based gas sensing to various industrial end users. In 2016, the company released its own analyzer product line under brand name GasEye. Since first deployment in 2016 the company has provided several hundreds of GasEye analyzers around the world.
Today Airoptic has a global network of distributors and service centers. Airoptic has provided a world’s first in-situ laser formaldehyde analyzer as well as has pioneered in-situ multigas multilaser sensing technology. Airoptic analyzers are characterized not only by one of the best analytical performance on the market but also include standard features like autocalibration and self diagnostics.
