On the recommendation of the Editors of Physical Review Letters (American Physical Society), prof. Katarzyna Pernal has been appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of Physical Review Letters, for a three year term from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027. She will serve as a Divisional Associate Editor for Physical Review Letters.

Our colleague from the Institute of Physics of the Lodz University of Technology, professor Jolanta Prywer, was asked by the prestigious journal Science to write an article about fascinating objects of our world: biogenic crystals.
Dr Agnieszka Krzemińska-Kowalska working in the Quantum Chemistry Group at the Institute of Physics of the Lodz University of Technology together with Prof Katarzyna Pernal and Dr. Michał Hapka received the Löwdin Postdoctoral Associate Award at the international Sanibel Symposium conference held on February 13-18, 2022 on the island of St. Simon, Georgia, USA.

In the period of 14-17 November students from Technical Physics and Science & Technology attended the 9th International School on Nuclear Power organized the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Świerk.
Our colleague Koushik Chatterjee has just defended his PhD thesis in chemistry.
The subject of thesis are new computational methods for quantum chemistry and it was completed in the Institute of Physics under the guidance of prof. Katarzyna Pernal.
